Who Should Attend

This workshop is designed for first-line and mid-level managers who lead people and are beginning to determine how AI should be used within their teams. It is ideal for managers who have completed Jumpstarting AI Adoption, or who have equivalent hands-on AI experience, and who want to move from managing their own AI use to leading a team through it. No technical background is required.

    What Participants Gain

Participants leave with skills they can immediately apply, including how to:

    • Explain how a manager’s responsibilities change when AI joins the team’s work, and know what to watch for that didn’t matter before.
    • Apply delegation principles to decide where AI belongs in the team’s work, task by task.
    • Sharpen the judgment behind AI-assisted output, and coach that same judgment in others.
    • Lead human + AI work deliberately: setting expectations, delegating on purpose, coaching judgment, and owning the outcome.
    • Build a team AI capability plan that sets the standard, the checks, and the coaching the team needs.

    What Participants Will Receive

Each participant receives resources that support learning during the workshop and long afterward.

    • Student Guide with workshop slides, notes, and reference material.
    • Capability Guides that summarize the delegation, coaching, and judgment practices covered in class.
    • AI Acceleration Guide containing ready-to-use prompts that participants can adapt to their own team’s work immediately after the workshop.

    Program Agenda

    Building Your Leadership Foundation
How a manager’s responsibilities change when AI joins the team’s work, and the five things a deliberate AI-enabled manager does differently: setting expectations, delegating on purpose, coaching judgment, watching for drift, and owning the outcome.

Challenge 1: Delegate the Work, Not Just the Task
Decide what to hand off and where AI belongs in it: matching each piece of work to the capability, human or AI, that suits it best.

Challenge 2: Coach the Judgment You Can’t See
Work through a real coaching moment after a team member trusts a confident AI answer without checking it, and build the habit of modeling the judgment AI can’t replace.

Challenge 3: Bring a Reluctant Adopter Along
Help a capable team member who is avoiding AI, and falling behind because of it, without mandating a tool or dismissing what already works.

Challenge 4: Build the Team’s AI System
Scale individual coaching decisions into a team-wide standard for where AI belongs, what gets checked, and how the plan gets reviewed.

    Putting Leadership into Practice
Participants leave with the start of a written capability plan for their own team: where AI belongs, the standard for done well, and who needs coaching first.

    About the Program Experience

Through a single case study, hands-on challenges, and group dialogue, participants build a practical, repeatable approach to leading human + AI work, moving from foundation to delegation to coaching to a team-wide capability plan. It’s designed for managers who want their team’s AI use to be deliberate rather than accidental, without needing a technical background.

    •  Delivered as a 3-hour live virtual workshop.
    •  Designed for 18-24 participants.
    •  Cost is $300 per participant.

Please contact us if you are interested in bulk enrollment packages or scheduling a customized class for your organization.

A team’s AI use is either deliberate or it’s accidental.
There’s no neutral option. Leading Human + AI Work moves beyond managing your own AI use to leading a team through it: delegating on purpose, coaching the judgment AI can’t replace, and building a standard the whole team can follow.
